Hi, my name is Tellie, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Dry Needling Specialist. I provide holistic, individualized, and evidence-based therapy to relieve pain, improve mobility, and promote healing.

Dry needling is a therapeutic technique that uses very thin, sterile needles to target tight or painful muscle areas that are causing discomfort or stiffness. Dry needling therapy alleviates pain, releases muscle tension, increases blood flow, resets the nervous system, and stimulates the body’s natural healing response—often leading to both physical relief and deep relaxation.

My hour-long treatment sessions generally include 10 to 20 minutes of dry needling for tight, stiff, or painful muscles and joints followed by manual therapy techniques including therapeutic massage, soft tissue and joint mobilization, pelvic realignment, therapeutic cupping/scraping, percussive massage, trigger point release, stretching, and exercise recommendations.
Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing to make it easier to access the skin. It is also recommended to hydrate well the day of treatment. No need to bring anything other than your wonderful self.
The needles used in therapy are so thin that when they go in, most people feel little to no pain. When the needle reaches a trigger point in the muscle, you might feel a brief twitch or mild ache in the muscle (a sign that the treatment is working.) The discomfort is short-lived and after the needles are inserted, it’s very common to not feel them at all, and most people say the mild discomfort is worth the immediate and targeted pain relief and full body relaxation felt after treatment.
